Isaac and Miranda contacted us to photograph and film their engagement session in Phoenix while they were traveling from Maryland. They met on a dating app while he was stationed in Maryland with the Air Force. They had been dating for 4 1/2 years got engaged in December of 2020. Miranda described themselves as “super dorky and nerdy and love to travel.” Our kind of people!

Since they live across the country and had never been to Phoenix before, we had set up a zoom meeting to go over possible locations for their session and talk about their vision. They were immediately drawn to Papago Park for its red rock (Sedona vibes) and Lost Dutchman for the unique mountain views. We loved that they wanted to separate locations for their session to really give them lots of different and unique backdrops!

Engagement Session Day

At our session, we all immediately hit it off! It’s like we were all friends before even meeting each other. That’s the kind of vibe Isaac and Miranda have. Best friends that you never knew you had lol! These two are by far the kindest souls we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with!

We asked them questions during our session, since Cam was taking video for their love story film (if you’re not sure what that is, feel free to ask us), about who they are as a couple and how their relationship began (and where it’s going)! I won’t spoil too much, you’ll definitely want to watch their video! We loved getting to learn more about them and their journey as a couple.

They had told us they were planning their wedding for June of 2021 (at that point it was only about 2 months away) and they were still in need of a photographer and videographer, but couldn’t find anyone they loved to document their big day. After telling them we travel and them choosing their wedding package, they booked us and flew us out to Maryland!! (Click here to check out their wedding day blog!)
