We had the honour of capturing Sam and Courtney’s beautiful Arizona Elopement, through photography as well as film!

Sam and Courtney met three years ago as bartenders at their local Mexican food restaurant in Texas. They instantly felt a connection and have been together ever since! Once engaged, they decided it was only fitting to get married on Cinco de Mayo (to always remember where they met and started their relationship) – how cute is that!!

When Courtney contacted us to photograph their Arizona elopement, they weren’t sure where to have their love documented. They had never been to Arizona before, but she knew it had to be in a place with lots of cacti! We landed on Desert Botanical Garden and Lost Dutchman State Park, because who needs to settle for just one spot? These locations reflected their love for cacti perfectly, especially for Courtney! She named her clay jewelry company the Clay Saguaro for her love for cacti. Make sure to check out her earrings – I am obsessed!

Courtney is a jack of all trades. She DIYed almost everything! As I mentioned, she owns a clay jewelry business so she handmade her stunning earrings as well as her bouquet, Sam’s boutonniere, and her super cute and custom Levi’s jacket with her new name! We are amazed at how crafty and talented she is. She found her dress at a wedding thrift boutique and paired them with white boots. We’re obsessed with her style and don’t think there’s a dress out there that could’ve been more fitting for her than this one!

Elopement Day!

We started with their bridal session at Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. That day was quite hot (101 degrees to be exact), but these two powered through! They were focused on each other, living in the moment, and taking in all beauty around them. If you’ve ever been to the garden, you know that there’s not a single ugly or bad spot in the whole place.

We then made our way over to Lost Dutchman State Park, where they chose to exchange their vows and profess their love for each other. When we say they wrote the sweetest vows to each other, we mean it. Their video is a MUST watch – have tissues ready for all the crying you’ll do! Sam and Courtney put so much thought, care, and love into their vows that it will give you chills how beautiful it is. But, don’t just take our word for it. Listen to them yourselves!

We ended the evening by popping champagne in the desert and celebrating their best day ever! We had such a great time documenting it for them and wish these Texans would move to Arizona because we low key wish we could be their bffs! LOL! In all seriousness, this day was an absolute dream with the best clients a photographer and videographer could ask for!

Congratulations Sam and Courtney on tying the knot!
